Meet Events
OHSAA swimming rules allow swimmers to compete in up to four events, two of which may be individual events. Meet formats often vary but typically offer the same order of events. Some meets may offer JV events in addition to the Varsity events. Other meets may have entry limits and/or event qualifying time standards. Coaches will maximize meet participation for TV swimmers as allowed by the meet format.
New swimmers will be encouraged to try new events as they are ready.
Relay participants will vary from meet to meet. Championship relays which qualify our team to compete at the next level will advance as “Tri-Valley” relays, which means that the relay participants may change to better position relays for further advancement. Championship relay participants will be selected based on individual times.
